I received several emails from Teri this weekend, most of them having to do with the technicalities of transferring sole ownership of this site over to me. She has initiated the transfer of the domain, server, and Vbulletin license.
I thought about how to paraphrase what Teri told me, but in the end I would rather no speak for her- I would rather relay what she told me. Although it was a personal communication between the two of us, I think a lot of what she said should be read by all the people who have been through so much in the last year or so.
Here are Teri's words:
At this point in time, I believe that everyone feels that it is in the best interest of the site to turn everything over to you. I wouldl agree.
I'm not going to start into a long laundry list of reasons, - which would sound more like excuses - about why I haven't been around. For now, I will apologize to you, and tell you how much I appreciate everything you've done for the site, and how much you've defended me (undeservedly), even in my absence.
I know the members deserve an explanation, and an apology from me. I hope some (obviously it will not be all) will realize that my intentions were never to hurt the site - or any members. I will be back at some point, but right now, I think the site needs to move on -- you have been, and continue to - take it in great directions, and my reappearance will only cause a heated 'distraction'.
Please feel free to remove my Administrator & my Moderator status. You can completely remove my membership if you wish -- the site is yours -- though I would hope you would not go that far.
If you could get back to me when you can with the information below, so I can complete the domain transfer, I will get back to you with all other information/transfers as soon as possible. I am leaving on vacation (edited), so I'd like to get this all done for you before then.
Please take care, I hope all is well with you personally. We'll talk again.
I have plenty of thoughts on all this, but need some time to sort it out. The only thing I can say for sure is that Teri remains, and will always be, a class act. She'll always be welcome here, and she'll be missed as long as she's not. I will be leaving her as a Super Moderator, so she knows that door is always open.
Comments welcome, but I'll probably lock this after a few days to a week so we can all get back to talking about our hobby. It's time to move on.
