What the hell is this thing

OK- I feed my Sun Coral Cyclopene? With the lights out I had a flashlight and while watching the coral actually eat for the second time in four weeks out comes this four in long worm/centipede/snake thing. i know this can't be good what is it and how do i get rid of it!

could be a bristle worm, but really need a pic to say. All sorts of wormy critters in the tank and most of them are harmless (and nocturnal)

Totally understand.

It is some sort of segmented worm. Could be a bristle worm, could be a eunice worm. More likely bristle, but both can hitchhike and grow that large. Most are harmless. But, at 4" I would be concerned enough to work hard to get a pic and see if a positive ID can be made. Some of these worm species can grow quite large.

Does it have what look like hairs all over it?
Is the front light and the back dark?
If so, then it is a common bristle worm and is a good member of your CUC. Do not touch it. The bristles come off in your hand and hurt.
