That's exactly what it is. It's the tail bone of something in the duck family. I'm busy, but that will help you to narrow it down.

There's a lot of different skeleton from birds, but those two bones out to the side give it away. Those are called pubis bones. They point to the rear of the duck - goose, whatever.

I got a BS in Wildlife Biology before my BS in Marine Biology. That was 30 years ago, so I'm a little rusty.

Pretty sure it is the skull bone of one of these.

Look like it to me. My friends were convinced it was a squid. Smh. I said squid don't have skeletons.

Looks similar. It could be a pelican. Too. Found in Galveston TX.

Although it it looks identical to a mallard pelvic bone let's say it's a dinosaur bone; it's much more exciting.
