Trapped??

Looks like the legs of a "Micro" brittle starfish. They stay hidden until they smell food in the water (might not be food you put in the water but something is "Expiring"). They usually just stick their legs out in the water column trying to catch food passing by. They are a VERY good part of your tank's clean Up Crew....
