The Other "woes"

OK so I'm basically all set with my salinity. Again thank you guys so much. Now onto the other woe.

My PH is reading about 7.65 I calibrated last night just to be sure. I have no idea how to make it go up. I know there are additivies but I like the old saying that "if you can't test for it don't put it into your tank." So I believe I am left with one option. Change out all 39 gallons and start over. Obviously I won't do that until I hear from you guys..I"m also going to do a PH check with my test kit just to make sure my AC jr. is reading correctly. I know this has probably come up before but I never really paid attention since I kinda thought PH would just naturally come out at 8.4. Just an FYI there is no livestock or rock or sand in there right now...the only thing in there is salt, RO water and an eggcrate. Thanks guys and gals.:cry1:

what time did you check your ph? it is lowest at night/morning and will be highest mid-end of light cycle.
Do you have a glass top over your tank?
do you have good water movement? (agitation of the surface of the water)
How long have you had the ph probe?
has the ph probe ever dried out?
what calibration solution did you use?
how old is the calibration solution?

I wouldn't change out the water.

I see pH, but I am not seeing anything for Ca or KH (even Mg).

Breathe in, breathe out...you do not even have sand or LR yet.

I have never had a pH of 8.4, Mucci.
