Spreadin' like crazy

I have a 75G fowlr that's a year or so old, in the past few months I've noticed this stuff covering my rock.

I'm thinking its some sort of sponge... but I'm not seeing anyone else having it anywhere.

It's cool looking but it's kinda ugly all over the place. What could I do to at least reduce the amount of it? (assuming it is a sponge)

I have something similar. It grows fairly quickly. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

i also have a ton of them..there some type of sponge and good filter feeders

Im a noobie and have 4x1kg peices of live rock and this same white stringy stuff is covering one of the rocks there is also 3 tiny (2mm) feather dusters on the same rock
So does anyone know if this stuff is good or bad??
Could it be that "Aptasia" (if thats how its spelled) stuff which I have heard so many bad things about?
