Small clear skeleton floating around...

I've been meaning to ask...on a couple of ocassions I have noticed a very small, say the width of a thumb nail size, clear looking thing that looks like a shrimp or something similar to that. I saw one yesterday being tossed around the surface of the tank until the skimmer got it, and a couple of weeks back I noticed one kind of wedged up against the back of a rock. Any idea on what that is?

I see the same thing now and again in my 12g NanoCube and only a Tomato Clown in there.

sounds like some kind of pod skeleton/molt -seems like some of them will be eaten but others apparently aren't appealing and keep getting tried and spat out by my clowns

Do you have any shrimp in the tank - peppermints or cleaner shrimp? If you do, and based on "thumbnail" size my guess is a piece of the molt of one of those. The molts of my shrimp are pretty clear and they do at times float around the tank, whole or in pieces.
