Switching salt mixes is often stressful, on inverts/coral especially, even if done gradually. There are different amounts of many elements, major, minor, and trace, in different salt mixes. Therefore everything in your tank must acclimate itself everytime the salt mix is changed. Research all the differents brands, then pick the one you like best. In my opinion the best results in the long run are achieved by choosing one salt mix and sticking with it. There are a few brands I would use (if I were to start a new reef), Oceanic just isn't one- That's my opinion.
