My rsm 500 was delivered yesterday....Steve the service mgr from the lfs I purchased the unit from spent the day with me running the build....another buddy stopped by...so three of us on the project...with Steve doing most of the work. Started at 9:30am and finished everything by 5pm...30 minute lunch break! :)
Overall impressions are terrific. Build quality and attention to detail by RS gets a plus! Directions and setup instructions are poor saying it nicely. Will post some pics shortly as today is finishing ro/di production and fill with 120 lbs of sand and the 100 pounds of brs reef rock. Another few days to get the skimmer/ flow tuned in and I should be ready for cycling to begin by Friday. Any pointers on the c skim 1800 are appreciated in advance.
More to come including pics.
Big thx to Steve and my buddy Rob for all the help!
Regards,
Mike

Day three, crappy 5 minute aquascape, but water is nice and clear, gotta fix the flow as my sand is a mess:
