question for c-130 owners

I notice that the chamber that houses the return pump and black foam filter doesn't have much water movement. I'm assuming there is movement of some kind going through the sponge filter down to the return pump but I thought there would be more. Is this normal?

Yes totally normal .I put fine filter floss on top of the foam and by the end of he week it grey with dirt .

thanks. how high should the foam be located? I pushed it almost all the way down. Should you have it up higher? the manual kind of shows it up high enough to see in the site glass on the side.

I have pushed the black sponge just below the baffle so all the water flows through the top of the finefilter blanket.
