question about galaxia

how long should it take for a coral i added today, to...get back to it's usual self??

it's a galaxia. it sucked in all it's feelers(or whatever they are called lol) and i want to know how long i should wait. i don't want to kill it, so i'll send it back if it doesn't improve.

it all depends. what kind of health it was in when you got it. If you got it from a store or mail order. What acclimation techniques you used and lastly the quality of your tank. Worst case scenario a pouty coral for about a week.
Make sure you understand what a healthy galaxia looks like and that sweepers will mostly be out at night. Don't forget anything within 1 foot of that coral is in mortal danger.

haha yeah i didn't think about the whole one foot thing. i knew it was a stinger, though! i put it in the top left corner of my tank so hopefully it'll be fine. i can always frag it out! :p

Mines out. It should not take long. Mine never retracts unless I move it but it is back out in less than an hour.
