pH of saltwater vs freshwater

Does the pH of Saltwater differ from Freshwater. My pH meter is made by Hanna Instruments. It's a model HI 98106. Anyone else use this meter?

I would check with the company to see if it makes a difference. I think most fw and sw test kits are different kits.

depends on the origin of the fresh water. some fresh water is extremely acidic and some highly alkaline. but a pH meter will test the pH of the water its in, regardless of the presence of salt or lack of.
