Not a hitch hiker but still need id

I traded this for a old florecent light I had laying around, the kid didn't know what it was. I know its a montipora and I think its a pokerstar but not 100% sure. when I got it the stars didn't have and green coloration to them, now they are turning a nice green.

That's Green Star Polyps... definitely not a Montipora

I googled star polyp, mine is a poor excuse for one. Hopefully I can get it up to par. Thanks guys.

they grow like weeds once it getts going. it will cover all your rocks and kill other corals. keep it on a island in the sand.

Far from peaceful, very invasive and will grow over most anything else under even under the worst of water quality... +1 to keeping it on an island in the sand!
