First, water params because I know you'll ask:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 0
Phosphates: 0
Calcium: 420 ppm
Alkalinity: 6.9 dKh
Magnesium: 1350 ppm
pH: 8.0
SG: 1.024

Tank is 180 gallon with Moby, a six line and a lettuce nudibranch as the only inhabitants. Tank is fed mush every 4 days (six line is eating pods) but Moby is spot fed every other day.

Now the problem...I was sitting on my couch watching the tank and I noticed a bright white spot on Moby (my giant bubble tipped brittle star). Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the tip of one of its legs is missing and the tip has turned white. Does anyone have any ideas?

Here's a pic:

I am betting on the six line thinking it was dinner and attempting to take a bite.

... I don't think the nudi would be inerested in a worm for dinner ;)

I am also betting that with good clean water & solid params it be OK. They are pretty tough!

Its ok Nikki, if it just broke of or even if eaten, Its still a star, It WILL regenerate its legs. So no worries!

Nikki, I've been searching, but I can't really find any good info other than "wait it out" and make sure the water parameters are good.

Is it just turning white, or has there been any tissue loss?
