i've got a Naso that is acting weird, he's swimming up and down on the right side of the tank. he started doing this about a week ago.

could he be doing this because he has nothing substancial to graze on??
and how can i give him more things to graze on through out the day??

i've had him for about 3 months. he's about 7" to 8" long.
i tend to feed the tank alot in the evenings because of his appetite.

Sounds stressed to me. Are you positive the majestic isn't chasing him out of the rest of the tank? Since you've already had him three months I would tend to rule out cyanide related problems, although I suppose there is a chance that improper collection or stress from shipping could be just starting to manifest itself.

yes i'm sure. the magestic is a scardy cat.

i'm starting to think that the tank is not big enough for him. its 150 gals
and the fish is 7 1/2" long. :blueoh:

Floyd, (naso) is really friendly and comes up to the glass and
follows anybody that wants to look at the tank. if i have
to do something inside the tank, he swims close to my hand
trying to see what i'm doing.

i notice too that he starts doing the behavior in the evening
and swims around normally during the day and in the morning....

mine did this every now and then. i had about 300# of rock and removed about 100-150# and he stopped. i also had the concern that my 150g wasnt really large enough for the naso. after the removal of the LR he seemed more happy.
i also wandered if he could see his own reflection or if he could see something else outside the tank that he either wanted or didnt like, i know he watched TV ;)
