live rock from LFS has this algae.. is it a cause for concern?

this algae started growing, 3 varieties:
1) strong green
2) blackish spots
3) little hair-like algae

all on the same rock, which was live rock in a tank at LFS sitting for 6+ months...

Yes it is algae. This is not necessarily bad. Most reef systems are in an almost constant battle with one for of algae or another. Most new reef systems go through phases of algae on their way to a mature tank.

If it's one rock, and really bad, you could remove it and bleach that one rock, but you'll also kill the good bacteria and everything else on it. Only do that as a last resort.

I dont mind the algae as its a new tank, just wondering about the colors of this algae.

I thought maybe the strong green color or black color means some type of terribly dangerous algae

Black means (rot) dead 99% of the time.
