Lighting colors for Fluorecent bulbs

I was just wondering what the best combination for bulbs on a two bulb fluorescent fixture would be? I tried a 24" ZooMed 10,000k daylight and a 24" Coralife Actinic. The color of the tank was a bright pink and the fish colors did not stand out. Would the light output for coral growth be the same with 1 50/50 and an Actinic?

Going to a 50/50 and actinic may enhance some of your colors but it may not.

It's worth a try to see if it's something you like or not.

As for coral growth.. that's hard to tell.. it depends on the coral and what each one is best able to utilize. Some coral do better with higher spectrum light some do better with the lower spectrum. Again trial and error are your new best friends. The good news is you wont "Harm" them by trying out different bulbs.
