Sad to see the coral go. I have those two exact ornamental coral pieces in one of my cichlid tanks.lol they do not stay shiny and bright for long, maybe I should try cleaning them...ha!
The freshwater tanks have been neglected since going coral crazy... I still think African cichlids , angelfish, discus and some other freshwater fish are great and so much easier if you don't have the time and budget. Sorry rambling...
I was kinda thinking of how I may not have the time and equipment for some of the hard corals so I was thinking of just keeping photosynthetic and easy coral that doesn't need a lot of upkeep or dosing. Saltwater = coral to me because I have enough fish in the freshwater tanks.
