how do i take the hood apart on my 130d to get the the cable that goes to the light? got a dodgy conection

Thanx matey, kinda in a panic as i have no lights and in off on holiday next week, the link doesnt show about getting to the power cable tho, helpful all the same

Have you tried plugging the lights somewhere other than the RSM power strip? There have been a few times some of the outlets in the strip have gone bad. I would think that opening the hood would let you see where the lights power cord is wired into? Even if you'll be gone a week the tank may be OK for that long.

What makes you think it's the power cord?

It turns on when u hold it in a certain possition but when u let go it dissconects

That does indeed sound like a power cord problem.

I wonder why so many hood problems lately?

iv taken the hood to pieces and came across some connections that i have not seen before, they come directly off the power cable, 2 yellow and one red, with a few wires coming out, i pulled them to try and get them out but had no success, i dnt want to force them, any one have any sugestions?
