Frag Tank

ok i dont know if i posted this in the right place...
i have a 10 gallon glass tank and i'm interested in makin a frag tank...else from the tank..what do i need? and what do i need to do?

Do you currently have a sump? Is your tank drilled or will you use an overflow?

i have a biocube..so i kinda wanted to make its own system out of a 10gallon tank

All you need are some lights and a powerhead! I have my frag tank looped into all my other tanks, so if its gonna eb its own system, A skimmer would be a good idea.

how many lights? what skimmer for a 10gal..

I would say t-5 for the 10g. As far as skimmer, I dont know.

I would definately stay away form MH for the 10g due to heat.

flow, flow, and more fow for a frag growout(sps, less flow for others). strong lighting and clean water.

this is going to be hard to do with a ten gallon. just growout your frags in the cube. maybe make a small rack off to the side of the tank (eggcrate glued to an old magnet cleaner). or better yet find a way to put a sump on your cube(maybe inside a cabinet next to your tank), light it up, and grow there. this will increase the volume of water on your cube also. you could even put the growout on an opposite light cycle with macroalgae to help keep oxygen levels up/co2 levels down.

for a skimmer i would just get the taam bio wheel / skimmer all in one unit. its like 50 bucks.
