drilling aquariums

Hi all, I have really been in quandry as of late. I thought I wanted a jbj28 Led, but the more I have studied, I think I can go bigger with not much more $$ in the set-up (of course not counting the livestock). I have found a 75 gallon tank and stand that has been used for fw discus for $100.00. My plan was/is to drill (by a local glass shop) an overflow, then build an overflow in the back corner from acryllic. Would like to get some input from those of you who have done their own diy tanks and sumps, as to the difficulties. Would like to have something that is not an eyesore in the living room. Thanks!

I think the easiest way to go is a simple glassholes.com overflow kit, it's a complete DIY overflow kit with box bits and bulkheads.

Also it's easy to drill glass go slow let the bit do the work and soon you will have the hole you need, watch a few videos it's pretty cut and dry.

Glad I could help, those are good kits I have personally tested on and it's cheap still maintaining quality!
