crontrolling hair algae

after getting rid of my green hair algae a few months ago it is coming back.

what inverts can i use to help control this

You need to address the Problem not the symptoms! It's like putting a band-aide on a major bleeding wound.. yeah it may slow it down (hide it for a while). But you need to find out WHY you have HA and get rid of THAT or you'll never really get done with it. Inverts can only help to "control" it but once they get full or DIE you'll have the problem again and again.

A local buddy of mine had hair algae problems to the point that he was so frustrated was thinking of tearing the reef down and maybe starting over. I went and looked the tank over. All the corals looked great, just a really bad algae problem. Talked him into a sea hare. Saw him a week later and he said the hare was not doing anything about the algae. 2-3 weeks later he said there was not a speck of algae to be found and now he is having to feed the sea hare nori and the like so it has something to eat.
