The curse of Coraline algae. At first you want it and the you curse it. Just scrape it off the glass and clean your equipment regularly. Its just part of the maintenece of a saltwater reef tank. Good coraline growth has been thought of as a sign of a balanced tank.

scrape it off early - it's much easier!! If you get that encrusting type on your corals get it off with a strong blade as soon as you can - I've had it cover over baby sun coral polyps. It quite often seems to grow where you don't want it!

If you let it get a good foot hold vinegar wont touch it. If you let it go you'll end up scraping it by hand. It gets to a point where you almost need a hammer & chisel. Oh how we grow to NOT like it very much! LOL
