Cleaning hair algae off Candycane coral (Caulastrea)

So I got a new Candycane coral (Caulastrea) a few days ago and it appears to be doing great. I got the coral when my LFS was having a big sale and their coral tank had an algea break-out.

If my tank doesnt have algae issues do you think this algae will take care of itself or should I do something? It looks horrible, i want it gone lol. I was considering taking a virgin tooth brush and trying to remove the coral but I dont want to destroy the coral in the meantime.

I attached a pic for your viewing (or currently dis-pleasure) pleasure.

You could also take a pair of tweezers and pick as much off as possible. I had a frag a long time ago of the same that came looking like yours and I tweezed it off a few times and with clean water and flow in my tank the rest just eventually went away
