chaeto turning white

I have a bunch of chaeto in my refugium (new refugium set up several months ago) and it has been turning white. The LFS told me the lower the flow the better, but might a lack of flow be causing the chaeto to die?

it could be that you want to have the chateo kind of rolling or if you can't do that flip it around a little. i found when i was just letting the same places always get hit by the light it turned white but hasn't since i spin it around now.

Have you changed any tank parameters lately?

I thought that chaeto did best with a stronger water flow. How long have you had it? Has anything changed in your tank recently?
