Calcium Levels

About three weeks ago I changed from using IO to Reef Crystals and have now completed two partial WC in my 130D. After my first WC I checked my Ca and it was 400, now one week after my 2nd WC my Ca was at 360. I was thinking that by switching to Reef Crystals I wouldn't need to dose Ca, am I incorrect in thinking this? What should my Ca average on a normal basis? If I have to dose Ca do you have any suggestions as what to use and how to administer?

Thanks!

Your Calcium demand will depend how many corals and of what type you have in your tank.

my Alkalinity readings are more in the 7.0 range. At one point, i tried raising it to 8-9 but it was tough trying to maintain that high level. constant dosing was a PITA and expensive, and eventually i gave up. it went back down to the 7.0 range on its own and now i am ok with that.

as for Calcium, it stays pretty much at the 410 level with no dosing. I use Red Sea Coral Pro
