I purchased my 130D in May and set it up on Memorial Day. I have noticed that when my main lights turn on it takes a few minutes before the bulbs seem to be at full intensity. Is this normal with the power compacts? How long should they last before I need to replace them?

Yes, I concur, the T5 compacts do take a little longer to get to full intensity but we are talking seconds here over stand T5 lamps, I would go for a change out at 9 months.
