Hey new member here, about a week ago the skin(is that the best name for it) of my short tentacle plate coral came off of the skeleton, the coral looked healthy and kept its color and just drifted around the tank, anyways, it drifted into my bta today it ate it and shrunk up as it does if I eever accidentally feed it a bit of meat too big, is that all thats happening? Will it sting the bta internally?

if the plate coral shed its skin/polyps, its done for. gonna die.
