Brown goo

I notice today that my mushroom coral secreted a brown goo from its mouth twice any ideas what this may be?

Probably just expelling waste.

Any chance you didnt mix the water up completely and some undissolved salt hit? When mushrooms are upset they excrete slime to protect themselves as a defense mechanism, alot of corals do this. I say just watch it for a day or two and see what happens.
