I have bio pellets in a Phosban reactor, but it's hung on the side of the sump in my cabinet. Maybe someone has a reactor hung on the back of a 130? You really need a good skimmer to keep them from putting a lot of bacterial "mulm" into the tank.
I feed my corals from time to time by putting the exhaust of my Deltec fluidized filter behind the skimmer. The bacterias being washed out from the bio pellets are good coral food!
