Maybe I'm confused, as it was tough to dig out the root problem here...
If the current pump running at max time 13min (assuming high sensor isn't reached?) can't keep up, wouldn't placing the high/low sensors closer together allow a cycle to complete in less time?
Is it like other units that make you unplug to reset? If so, I can see that issue , but the sensor placement should suffice to keep the timer from tripping the cycle.
