Are they worms???

I have just noticed little white pellet like pegs laying on my LR.
They are lying on some of the LR on the algea. They are about 2mm in length. Can anyone tell me what these may be? It doesn't look like it is fish waste. Considering they don't usually swim that high in the aquarium.
Any suggestions on what I can look for?

Could they be shrimp or snail droppings? You'd be amazed at the size and amount an single astrea snail can produce...

I've tried to take a picture of them but it doesn't really show up, then when I zoon to 12X it just ends up blurry... Sorry.

We do have snails however. Would they really be from a snail??? I have NEVER seen a snail poop. It is possible though. Thinking about it now, it actually looks like white oregano. That is about the size and everything.
