Took my family over to another nearby island last weekend and we visited the local aquaria there. Here are some photos taken with my mobile phone as I was too lazy to lug around my camera :D It was an overnight trip so I didn't have the chance to go snorkeling at the reef.

Thanks for sharing your pictures Kevin!
Now I want to go look at other tanks...think it's a good time of year to go to the zoo with my grand-daughter. Only thing is, she'll want to be out looking at the monkeys while I'm wanting to look at the fish. :ponder2:

Kevin - you take better pictures with a phone than many do with a DSLR!

Great pictures!! I saw several things that I'd like to have but I'd need a BIGGER TANK. :D
Can't even begin to imagine a Mandarin large enough to eat THAT ISOPOD
I had NO IDEA they could get HUGE like that. That's AMAZING!!
How far is that aquaria from your home? How often do you visit there?

Haha yea my son saw it first and came running to me shouting "Dad! Large Isopod!" That island is north of mine and its about 3 hours by boat from my island or 2 hours drive and take an hour's boat ride from a nearer jetty. We took the second option as the sea is usually rough on the way back. During low tides you can actually walk about 50m off the beach to hunt for stuff at the reefs though you're not allowed to take any corals. You will be able to spot clowns, anemones, starfish etc. I've only gone there like 3 times in my life so far. We have another aquaria locally and I'll pay them a visit sometime next week :)

Thanks Mayja :) One thing that surprised me the most was the lack of snails and hermit crabs, well pretty much a cuc in all of their tanks. You can see patches of GHA growing here and there but basically everything looked under control. Kind of weird.
