Andrew - hope all is well for you & yours !

Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. Waves expected over the next few hours, caused by 8.9 earthquake in Japan.

My thoughts are with everyone in Japan - while the earthquake itself hasn't caused huge damage, the tsunami has been horrific. We had a Japanese search and rescue team here in Christchurch, NZ and they are heading back no e today - our thanks and prayers go with them.

I live near the beach and we were packed up, with our emergency kit ready to last night but it seems ok now - just a warning to keep. Away for the water, but warning still in place.

I hope everyone who may be impacted around then world stays safe
