Thanks for the compliments. I really neglected my tank during the
summer and it's just now beginning to turn the corner.

Tank looks great. The bubble alage would suggest high phosphate levels

Here's how my tank spent the summer:

1. My t5's apparently degraded nearly completely somewhere in the
ninth month of their life. It never occurred to me to worry before
a year.

2. My weekly water changes slowed to semi monthly (maybe).

3. I allowed phosphate magnets (foam, etc) to go uncleaned for
a couple of months.

Perfect recipe for phosphate:doh:

In the last two weeks I've done the following:

1. Replace bulbs. Wow what a difference
2. Remove all "magnets" for phosphate
3. Install Phosban reactor with Rowa phos
4. Add major cleaning crew (about 40 hermits and assorted snails)
5. Massive vaccuum/water changes.

I neglected mytank this summer playing with the horses:whstlr: :whstlr:

they just wouldn't let me go in the house!
