I guess I agree, the turtle usually digs out plants and moves objects around. but with fish, still no interest. I know it is a risk. in this tank, I am keeping plants for the turtle, not really for display.

spend a few hundred on a quality co2 system..its worth it. The diy co2 really doesn't work well. You also should use a quality substrate like eco complete. It, over time will provide adequate nutrients to your plants roots, where the nutrients need to be, as opposed to the water column. As we know, increased phospates in water column combined with nitrates and light equals algal blooms. RODI will keep water column free from phosphates and nitrates but plants still need them for growth. A good quality substrate will provide these for them.

haha what? I haven't had bamboo in the tank for a white,
were you worried about the cichlids and the turtle or cichlids and the plants?
I read through the thread from start, musta missed the bamboo being gone.

When i make the paludarium, Im either going to incorporate my entire acrylic 2g turtle tank into the 65 to keep him separate,
or if anyone has had success with keeping cichlids from eating turtles, figured maybe id let them share space.
