48w T5 HO Lighting question

I have a spare Light in my bedroom and was pondering the idea of growing some vegetables or something in a little garden. Would this light work for growing plant life and or what type of bulb would be used? any input is appreciated.....The light is T5 48w dual fixture. Thanks Corey

4.9 kalvin bulb and like a 5.5k bulb...but it all depends on what your going to try to grow i mean growing up being a stupid kid i used a atten blue and a 10k bulb and got great results but that was a different story you know one for era when the word reefer had a different connotation to me then it does now
