Leebca, my post was a question within the comment and I was always waiting for an answer also, I did not make any suggestions or advice, adding epson salt in fw is a fact but I didn't not aldd any information on sw besides saying I dunno about it, There are a lot of controversy on this site...

in freshwater we add epson salt to help with the passing, dunno how saltwater will handle it.

your transferring all the stuff that was able to sustain your current bioload, i see no problem in it unless you didnt dechlorinize yet. if your 12g was an eclipse.. just drop your eclipse filter pad into the tank to trasnfers bacteria
