What is this??

Does anyone know what kind of coral this is???

Here it is at night when the lunars are on:

And here it is with the main lights on during the day. It really 'opens' up:

In one shot it looks like an open brain but I don't think that's what it is.

It looks like a Pectinia species or lettuce coral. Cheeks would probably know.

I believe this to be a hydnophora. Mine opens up the exact same way.

I think you are right. That sounds like what someone else mentioned to me in the LFS. I just couldn't remember and couldn't find one in the coral stores online, so wasn't sure.

I looked up some google images using 'hydnophora' and here is what I got...so I really think you are probably right.
