Scratches inside my plexi tank

Hello to all, and thanks for reading and hopefully asweing my question!
I have a plexiglass tank, and I have several light, but annoying scratches on the inside of my reef tank.
Is there some product I can use or do to remove the scratches without harming the inhabitants of my tank?

many years ago when I had an acrylic tank I got scratches on the inside and they used to sell a kit for removing them. The kit was just different grades of ultra fine sand paper you went from the largest I think was like 600 grit and graduate to about 1200 grit. I am not really sure on the grits as it was about 18 years ago but I can say it worked and removed the scratches great.

I am surprised scratches are not a bigger problem, then again I am a clutz!
