Refugium lighting

I think this post got lost n another thread, so here it is.

Can you guys give me an idea of what amount of lighting you use over your refugium? Not the amount of time, but the type of lighting and possibly watts.

I know this is kinda a loaded question since some of it may be determined based on the size of the fuge, but I'm just looking for a ruff idea.

Any good plant lighting will work fine. You can get the curly Q PCs that are available and somewhere between 30 and 40 watts should be fine, as you said depending on the size of most small refugiums.

i agree with Craig. they can be used in a simple dome light.

imo a regular light bulb will do the job.but alot may not agree.but im not an expert.

I am using 2 -65watts plant gro lights from HD over a half filled 30gall. fuge
