Maybe I would have got a diffrent hobby, like naping or watching tv once and a while, lol. now dont get me wrong, I LOVE my hobby (seems like my lifes work), but WOW!! After A LOT of mistakes, hundreds of hours and hundreds of dollars I finally got my reef to where I kinda want and feel comfy with it. Water changes every 2 weeks with my custom water mixing station, clean the glass, kill apistasia 1ce a month, feed the fish and enjoy!!! The corn teen tank is a whole nother hassle I wont get into, (pain in the neck, water change every other day, chemicals, fish not making it ect,, grrr!!!!).

Now I have a 55 aggressive tank 4 lea and christ!!!! decided to get 2 fluval hob filters and that was it,, then a skimmer,, not I put mu old fuge on it. More hundreds of dollars and Ive been working on it from 5pm till 10pm for the last 3 nights! I cant wait till its just "feed and enjoy!!" except all the agressive fish are jerks and wont eat sometimes or make a mess and need live food all the time,, grrrr!!!

o yea,, running filter socks now and again,, every day hassle!! not to mention the vermited snails and killing barnacles and EVERY DAY SOMETHING!!!! AHHHHHHHAAAHHH!!!!

not getting burned out yet but,,, I COULD HAVE GOTTEN A BOAT!! lollol jk. sorry , had to vent.

Sounds like the same reason we all got into this hobby. Just feed the critters and enjoy watching them.

NOT!!!!!!!!

Hi Kyle,

I'm feeling ya mate!! Here are a couple of quotes to hopefully get you back on track!

A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.

Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.

Energy and persistence conquer all things.

The majority of men meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail.

To make our way, we must have firm resolve, persistence, tenacity. We must gear ourselves to work hard all the way. We can never let up.

Kyle, I think you just talked me into quitting. Livecock's little pep talk saved the day, though.

I had a heater get stuck on and the thermostat didn't shut it off, both failed. Lost all my SPS except a couple about a month ago. Big let down. Everything else is on the rebound, so we'll see. My wife and I teamed up yesterday and fragged a bunch.

I have to get a tank babysitter to go anywhere.

"A couple of hundred dollars?" ROTFL

Now I know you're missing at least one zero in that statement even if it's only $20 at a time.

Just wait until the 90 is too small:)

I know exactly what you mean... The amount of money I spent trying to get the right equipment I could have bought a RS MAX s-650 lol

I just hope my wife never finds out how much some of this stuff cost.

Just have her ask Kyle's girlfriend. She already knows everything is around $20.

well yeah, like, i totally bought that algae scrubber used, for 100 dollars. What a steal... oh and I won these LEDs..

Dont look at my bank account its very shy.

I also justify overtime to pay for any spur of the moment tank purchases, but I am lucky and have unlimited OT

Hey mike,

That sucks man!!!!!

The only positive to that is I would love to see my wife with fragging tools in her hand, it would almost be like reefing porn lol :yup: bring on the cheesy lines "is that full polyp extension in your pocket"

Mate I don't have one yet but I will be investing another $20 in the Seneye....
