Hitchhiker Crab

Hey
Trying to figure out what this crab is.

Furry doesn't seem good to me, and it has black tips on its claws, but it didn't seem to look like a Teddy Bear or Gorilla. In either case, will probably bring it to the LFS ASAP.

I have no clue what he is, I would likely pull him from my tank, but I gotta say he's actually kinda cute

+1 ^ he could be okay... but hairy & black tips.. does make one think of bad & I would remove him

Looks like a gorilla crab but because it has that awsome "yeti" white coat i would sump him and keep him happy in there.

This is another example of a Xanthid crab, and this is one crab that frequently falls under the common name,
“Teddy Bear Crab.” It is also frequently called a “Gorilla Crab”. As these names are common names though they also fall onto several other types of crabs. See the following website for more details/warnings on Xanthid crabs.
