Fish ID....Anyone recognize this??

Does anyone recognize this fish?

Sorry not a very clear pic, but he hides most of the time. He only comes out to grab some food and then dashes back again.

Kinda looks like a catalina Goby... though I hope it isn't. They're not long-lived in our tropical-temp. tanks.

Wit, I think it "is" some kind of a clown goby, but I have never seen one this color :confused: . Does anyone know what colors clown gobies come in ?? :D

Travis, No ..... it is not a catalina goby, my LFS always has those in stock. Would never buy one, but they are cute. That is an awesome shot!!

i dont think so trav. the head looks taller and the eye set back farther on the head.

Edit: oops Ivy beat me to the enter key....lol

Could be a couple different species, but my guess is Gobiodon quinquestrigatus

In my books I counted 8 different species of clown gobie Ranging green, red, orange and yellow.

Hmmm.... Very well could be a reddish clown goby. :)

RR - do you know if this is the same as a Citron??
