That was when he was in the tank for an hour and he slowly got worse and worse then he looked fine then got even worse and then he died this morning

Sorry for your loss. He was prob not very healthy when you got him. I dont think you did anything wrong but in the future its best to get the LFS to hold it for you for a couple weeks to see how healthy they are. A lot of times its about how they get collected
