Diving in Maui (PICTURES!)

This past summer I went to Maui with my girlfriend and her family. We took every chance we could to go diving, even going diving in the Maui Ocean Center's Shark Tank, and I snapped some pictures I thought I would share with everyone.

Your pictures are just gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing them! I've never had much luck with getting the bright colours to show up on my own underwater pics... I assume it's the lack of a flash...

Thank you all for your comments! With regards to flash and the pictures. All of these were taken with a canon powershot with an underwater housing, but an external flash is still on my to-do list, so the colour in the pictures comes mostly from the great settings for underwater pictures built into the canon.

No flash! Wow! That's awesome! Since you mentioned the great settings for underwater pics built into the Canon, I'm thinking I should do some research on that before my trip to Maui next year... I'd love to be able to get some pics that actually show some of the nice colours on the marine life like yours did!

Great pics!! Thanks for the info on the camera. I'm headed to Maui in 3 weeks. Then I'll come back home and set up my reef. Plenty of time to get a powershot ;-)
