Hello ThomastheTexan. We have just begun the adventure of adding NPX bioplastics to our TLF Phosban Reactor 150 in 180gal tank and are having to tweak the amounts of media added to the reactor. We found in the beginning a large bacteria bloom after adding almost all of the media in the first week. The tank became so cloudy that we scaled way back to about 1/4 cup of BPX. No significant reduction in Phosphates but we did see a very clear tank when we reduced the media. As of tonight we are beginning to see some cloudiness in the tank. One thing that has been increased is the amount of waste in our skimmer. It seems to be working over time to keep up with the process.

The bacteria will eat the bio pellets there is no amount you need to go by just make sure that they are tumbling in the reactor.Very important is that you need to have the output of the reator near the imput of your skimmer so the skimmer cleans up the bad stuff. My water was alot cleaner right away also but it takes around a month for them to start working.
