Anemones Nocturnal ????

Are all Anemones Nocturnal ?? mine seems to thrive and enlarge when the lights go out, Lights on she is half the size.

They have a mind of their on and the ONLY thing you can be sure of is... well NOTHING! LOL! That is a normal action though.

Virtually no anemones are nocturnal. Most of them are photosynthetic and get the majority of their nutrition by light. The exception to this would be the tube anemones, cerianths.

If the anemone shrinks during the day, maybe the lighting is not to its liking. What sort of nem and what kind of lighting? Does anything else happen when lights come on, like changes in water flow?

Hi,

Not sure on what Anemone it is but it defiantly enjoys lights out.

I am currently running 3 40W T8 lights but have T5's due in the next couple days. Water flow never changes it's just the lights, This one seems very nocturnal.
