Green star polpys do they attach better to a rock or in the sand had it for a month and it don't seem to be attach to the rock should I move it or just give it more time

i dont test it every week i go to my lfs and they test if for me i know i have to get a test kit of my own but every time my water check out fine i am start to thing my tank too new for the nem its only been up and running for five months
