Found a really cool shroom I bought that I thought I lost in the chaos. Thankfully he is fine and the work continues.

Also, here is the inside of the ADJ 100 power blocks if you ever wondered.

Well bummer. I only have enough screws to half hang my lights and that ain't gonna happen. So I got the new C channel lined up, canopy out back together without rusted parts and am heading to HD tomorrow.

Woke up and checked on the tank. It was quieter than it has been and i was worried my plans may have failed and there would be an impromptu fish fry, leaving everyone disappointed, but not as disappointed as i.

Turns out the Canopy is helping to mask the noise of the tank and everything looks like it should. Late night project was a success. Now on to the power center.

Dont judge my errors, the drawing is almost complete for the new face and inside board to be spec'd to. Looking forward to moving from prototype to full function.

Wow, you are really working hard with that setup. I am glad you were able to do the transfer and go live with your new reef.

Thar wrasse you pointed out is really nice, I would miss him too.

How do like the black substrate?

I wasnt really prepared to go with black as i have always used white sand. I actually have negative memories with black sand and it took a lot to make me go with it. Mostly that i got it for free hahaha..

That said, i am very happy with it. Against the white stand, black back and grey walls, the sand really makes the focus go to the corals and they do not wash out against it like they can with white sand.

I have been very curious about black sand, it is one of those things I may try in the future. Specially I was looking your tank is white with black back wall same as mine and it does look good. Good to know you are enjoying it. [emoji122][emoji2533]

So plans changed a bit for me this weekend. I entered a charity raffle with the expectation of donating to charity, only to win the raffle. So I picked up a Uranium Bounce on Saturday and then worked on the tank tonight.

So I am very unhappy with my progress and how some of this did not come together as expected. So I am going to allow this to look like it does until I get some extra coin and time to redo all of the wiring. This will also most likely include cutting out all the excess wire and soldering into shorter pig tails. We will see.

The things that I am most unhappy with are the amount of wires making everything cluttered inside the box and then how the box sits in the stand. I will need to scoot it back a 1/4 inch to make room for the night facia I made. And I also made a mistake with that, but that will change out once I get the new acrylic one made.
But when I close it all up it looks so nice haha.

But for now, here is the current state.

Just caught up... well done.
I didnt think anyone still used the DJ switches anymore. Ive read about quite a few overheats and burnouts.

I have run them for years without incident. They are simple and non-complex, so i do not see how they can fail if installed properly. That said, i wont be running this moving forward as it wont fit my aesthetic intent.

and thank you :D

If i remember, it was poor contact of those spade connectors arcing because the slight wiggle of the switch once the switch starts moving in the sockets a little. Granted, that maybe 3-5 years of usage, but there isnt much that is manually turned on/off regularly in our setups.
I found some really cool 120v relay boards i want to try out but my Arduino/ Pi programming is not up to par ... yet. Maybe next tank.

I am about to say screw it and pi this up, but I only need 3-4 switches. Doesn't warranty the expense but that's still TBD.
